SPIER WINE FARM

Spier, founded in 1692, is one of the most well known wine farms, and one you may have heard of. The farm boasts something for everyone from Eagle Encounters to picnics on the lawn, wine tastings in the tasting room and lunch at the farm cafe. A must visit.

ROOT 44 MARKET

If you’re looking for live music, food and drinks, and locally made South African goods visit Root 44 Market, open on weekends. You can enjoy over 50 food vendors, 80 craft & homeware stalls or listen to live entertainment while surrounded by vineyards and oak trees.

BABYLONSTOREN

Tthe most picturesque, beautifully curated farm, garden, restaurant and farm we have ever seen! Outside Stellenbosch, Babaylonstoren has a fruit & vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, fine food and wine, restaurant and a spa. Worth the drive outside town!

FAIRVIEW WINE & GOAT CHEESE

Fairview is a working farm just outside Stellenbosch who produce award winning wines and goats cheese. Enjoy a wine tasting in their tasting room paired with cheese, while goats roam the goat tower. Then enjoy lunch in the Goatshed restaurant, where booking is essential!

TOKARA WINE ESTATE

Nestled beneath a majestic mountain range is the home of Tokara Wine Estate. This working farm houses a deli, a restaurant and a wine tasting room as well as a boutique style production plant for their extra virgin, cold pressed olive oils. The art collection is rather notable too!

WARWICK WINE ESTATE

This high end South African winery has a farming history dating back to 1771. Starting out as a fruit farm, Warwick emerged as a wine farm in the ‘60s and has gone from strength to strength. Gourmet picnics by the dam and wine tastings are on offer.

STELLENBOSCH TOWN

Visit the quaint, oak tree lined streets of Stellenbosch where you can have breakfast at a deli on the street corner, wonder curio stalls and local artisan shops while stumbling on great vintage and antique gems hidden in quaint historical buildings or local book shops.

DORP STREET

Wonder along the oak tree lined Dorp street. Dorp, meaning town, is one of the oldest streets in Stellenbosch. Some of the original architecture of the town can be found on display in Dorp street, nestled between curio shops selling African goods, restaurants, coffee shops and delis.

POLKADRAAI STRAWBERRY FARM

For those who have a love of the red berries, right next to the Root 44 Market, you’ll find Polkadraai Farm. The strawberry picking farm allows you to find your inner farmer, grab a basket and set out along the rows of strawberries ripe for the picking!
